CESAR at Milan Design Week: Strategic Evolution and the New Milan Flagship Store
CESAR at Milan Design Week 2026: a new chapter for the brand
On the occasion of Design Week 2026, CESAR presented its renewed Milan Flagship Store (via Larga 23), which became the visible manifesto of the brand's strategic evolution, long guided by the artistic direction of García Cumini.
The brand's vision After 60 years of history, CESAR moved beyond the logic of closed collections to embrace an open, compositional system, in which the kitchen becomes a flexible "device" that engages in dialogue with architecture. The brand extended its DNA to living, dining, bathroom and pantry spaces — not as diversification, but as the natural evolution of a holistic approach to domestic life.
The new Flagship Store The three-level space (~500 sqm), facing the heart of Milan's design district with seven street-facing windows, was conceived as an immersive, fluid journey with no sharp divisions, aimed primarily at architects and designers.
On the ground floor, the entrance was dominated by a composition centred on the Tangram collection: a tall unit with Groove doors in Rovere Cortado flanked a central island in Bronzo Anodic, with a Breccia Sarda top extending into a snack counter on a natural stone column, finished with the new Palmier edge. Nearby, the living area featured The 50s in its double-sided version with the new rotating TV unit in Rovere Cortado, while the Solido table introduced the top in the Nuance Rosso Jaipur finish. On the opposite side, the Unit island in lacquered Pesca engaged with Trama essence doors and the new pull-out snack shelf in Rovere Nordico, integrated into the boiserie system for suspended appliances and shelving.
At the centre of the space, on a raised platform, the Maxima 2.2 kitchen represented the brand's fullest design synthesis: an island in Eucalyptus Essence with vintage stainless steel top and sides, a wall in Laccato Mineral Stone Canyon, and the new Contour handle designed by García Cumini. Two passage doors integrated into the wall composition — one with a handle and one without — led respectively to the pantry area and the Ondula bathroom, demonstrating the brand's ability to extend its language to every domestic environment.
A helical metal staircase, distinguished by a refined interplay of solids and voids, connected the levels and led to the lower floor, where the exhibition opened onto the ever-evolving material library. Here, the N_Elle kitchen featured a monolithic island in Notre Dame marble, alongside a Maxima 2.2 composition in the new acid-etched mirrored glass finish. A further living area completed the journey, with the boiserie system, Dressup storage elements and suspended solutions in the exclusive Quercia Tabacco finish, unified by the Unit coffee table in the same marble.
2026 Product Highlights
Beyond Uniformity, towards a new way of living CESAR's participation in Design Week 2026 proved perfectly aligned with the guiding concept chosen by the company, Beyond Uniformity. In an edition dedicated to transcending homogenising standards and celebrating the richness of difference, CESAR offered a concrete design response: spaces that refuse repetition, systems that adapt rather than impose, materials and finishes that build unique identities.
The Milan Flagship Store did not simply display products — it told the story of a method: that of a brand which has always chosen complexity as a value, and which during MDW26 demonstrated, and continues to demonstrate, how genuine evolution never looks like anything seen before.
